PRODUCING LEADERS SINCE 1867

The mission of Morehouse College is to develop men with disciplined minds who will lead lives of leadership and service. Morehouse College Houston Alumni Association mission is aligned with the colleges strategic plan.  With much of the world struggling to hold the values of equality, democracy, and decency, our mission of delivering Black male excellence is more important than ever.

2024 FATHER'S DAY
SCHOLARSHIP BRUNCH

The Annual Father’s Day Brunch is the signature event for the Houston Morehouse Alumni Association, whose overall purpose is to increase equity and access to Higher Education for African-American Men. This is done through a robust program that showcases outstanding African-American Fathers and highlights the bond of Fatherhood that binds our ties to the Houston Community. This year's Brunch will be held at the newly renovated Omni Houston Hotel, nestled in the prestigious Uptown area of the city. This luxurious hotel is located near the Houston Galleria and has been a key partner in supporting HMAA goals.

Who Are We
WHO WE ARE

Here at the Houston Morehouse Alumni Association, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 1977 we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we’re involved in. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.

WHAT WE DO

SUPPORT

The Morehouse Houston Alumni Association remains committed to supporting Houston area students in their aspirations for higher education. Funds raised at events directly contribute to the financial stability of students and the institution we love.

SERVICE

At The Morehouse College Houston Alumni Association we are dedicated to partnering with the community we reside in. Alumni volunteer in a number of ways which include tutoring/mentoring at local schools, volunteering at local food banks, planting and cleanup of local gardens and much more.

RECRUITMENT

With this initiative, our goal is to constantly encourage Houston area students not only to attend Morehouse but to look at other HBCU's as well.  Our goal is to positively portray the school we love and also increase awareness on the importance of an HBCU experience.
